Master’s of Arts in the Professional Practice of Anthropology

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with admission for both Fall and Spring terms offered. To be considered for limited funding, students should apply for Fall admission no later than February 1.

The standard program admission requirements are as follows:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited undergraduate institution;
  • A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0;
  • A statement of purpose (500-1000 words) explaining why the student wishes to study anthropology at the graduate level and what s/he wishes to do with the degree;
  • An expository writing sample demonstrating English competency;
  • Three letters of reference.
